Basic information

The subject of the sale is a company operating a unique web platform for wedding planning. The platform operates on the highly attractive domain www.svatba.cz and includes an online wedding planner, a wedding catalog of suppliers, and a modern inquiry system for communication with individual suppliers. Thanks to this virtual platform, the couple have the opportunity to plan their wedding more easily and communicate effectively with service providers.

The main value of the company is the already developed IT platform Svatba.cz 2.0. More than CZK 12 million has been invested in its development, team building, setting up all internal tools and subsequent product launch, including marketing support. The development was inspired by foreign portals, in the Czech Republic it is so far the only and largest portal of this type. Ownership of the attractive domain www.svatba.cz is also of great value.

The company has been operating since 2015, and from the beginning the project owners have focused on its growth and raising awareness of the platform. In recent years, however, since 2020, the owners have been focusing on product monetization. At the same time, however, the owners are actively involved in building a dominant position on the Czech market. In 2022, expansion to Slovakia is planned, while other markets in Central and Eastern Europe also have the potential for expansion.

As the Czech wedding market is growing, the wedding segment in the Czech Republic is estimated to have an annual turnover of around CZK 5 billion for the coming years, excluding wedding gifts and travel. In contrast to Western countries, this market in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Eastern Europe is currently insufficiently covered.

The owners of the company have developed a business plan for the company’s growth in the years 2021 to 2024. The goal is to gradually increase paying customers and turnover. The owners expect to achieve a year-on-year turnover growth of at least 50% per year. Of course, we will provide the business plan to those who are seriously interested in the acquisition.

A great added value for a potential investor is also the potential opportunity over time to sell a stake in the company to an international group operating wedding portals in Western countries – this group buys and consolidates similar portals in individual countries. The owners have already been in contact with these potential investors, and there is open communication.
