Market valuation of your company

Avoid surprises and find out what your company is worth

What is your company worth?
Have an independent valuation of your business prepared.

You can get a quick estimate yourself using the online calculator, and we can also arrange a detailed expert opinion from our partner certified valuer.

Thanks to our experience on the market for company sales and the experience of our valuer, we can advise you on the market value of your business. We will explain the valuation methodology to you in detail.

The most common reasons for valuing a company

Preparing to sell the company

Owners often overvalue their business without realising it, which is why knowing the market value before the sale starts matters so much. It lets you set a fair price from the beginning and enter the talks from a solid position.

Maximising the value of the company

The market price of a business changes over time and depends on many factors. Our estimate or opinion includes concrete recommendations on which factors to work on, and how to time the sale so that the final price is as high as possible.

Negotiating with a co-owner

At some point you may need to buy out a co-owner's stake, whether because of different views on where the company should go or another disagreement. Establishing a fair current value of that stake is the basis for it, and we will help you with that.

Why have your company valued through InBase

Access to top-quality market data

Our valuer works with the Refinitiv (Thomson Reuters) database and with our own data from the Czech and Slovak M&A market. Without current market data no company can be valued reliably, not even with the simplest methods.

The right valuation method for your case

The right method depends on the stage of the company's life cycle, the structure of its revenues and its expected growth. Our valuer picks the primary method based on experience from dozens of transactions, and can defend the differences between methods.

Current literature and methodology

We work to the methodology of the Big Four and the leading valuation practices. Our valuations draw on current Czech and international literature, including the Duff & Phelps standards.

Support in defending the result

We are ready to defend every output we issue on professional grounds, including directly against the other side's expert. A strong argument can raise the final sale price of your company significantly.

Frequently asked questions

What method do you use to value companies?

Our valuer works mainly with income-based and market (comparative) methods. Income-based methods start from the company's historical and expected returns and the cash flows the business can generate. Market methods work primarily from data on comparable transactions. These are the standard methods for valuing operating, profitable companies. The third group is asset-based methods, which we do not use, as they are mostly relevant in liquidations or when a business ceases to operate.

How long does the valuation take?

It depends on the type of valuation you choose. An indicative individual assessment can be prepared within a week of the assignment and the delivery of the underlying data. A market value report takes roughly 1 to 2 weeks. The expert opinion is the most demanding and takes 2 to 3 weeks.

Can the opinion be used for legal purposes, inheritance or dividing assets?

For those purposes you need the expert valuation opinion, the highest of the options. Those opinions carry the official stamp and can be used for matters such as the inheritance of a business share, setting a settlement amount when a shareholder leaves, corporate transformations, mergers, the division of marital property or gifting a share.
