Key highlights
Basic information
The subject of the sale is a Slovak cosmetics brand focused on face and hair masks, LED masks and skincare products, launched by its owners in spring 2023. The sale covers the brand itself with all related assets, i.e. the trademark, the product portfolio including formulations and certificates, packaging design, marketing materials and social media, business relationships with customers, and inventory. The company under which the brand operates is not part of the sale, so the buyer takes over the brand without the company’s history and liabilities.
The brand entered the market with 6 pilot products and within three years expanded its range to more than 30 products in 4 categories. It is listed with a leading drugstore chain in Slovakia, which is its main customer, and with two other drugstore chains, in more than 400 brick-and-mortar stores in total. It sells over 400,000 face and hair masks a year, and the number of units sold grew by 160% year on year.
The main category is sheet face masks with various active ingredients, such as collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, retinol or niacinamide, complemented by special masks for the chin, eyes or forehead. The portfolio also includes hair masks, skincare products such as peeling and lifting pads, acne patches and warming eye masks, and LED masks for home use. The latest addition is a five-piece skincare line with a trending active ingredient that forms a complete routine and also works as a gift set.
The brand stands out with a distinctive visual identity and neon packaging which, according to its own survey, increases the number of shoppers stopping at the shelf by 67%. The products are in the mid-price category, which widens the customer base and speeds up stock turnover on the shelves. Marketing relies on cooperation with influencers and on social media, and the target group is women aged 18 to 55. The products are highly rated in customer reviews.
Brand revenue grew from 280 ths. EUR in 2024 to 450 ths. EUR in 2025, an increase of more than 60%. The 2026 estimate of 420 ths. EUR is a straight-line projection of January to August results, while the seasonally strongest period runs from October to February. The gross margin on goods is 65 to 69%, calculated from purchase prices including transport and customs duties. After deducting trade terms for the chains, sales promotion and operating costs, which include wages, office and warehouse rent, fuel, insurance and telecommunications, the estimated operating profit (EBITDA) for 2026 is approximately 140 ths. EUR. In previous years, EBITDA reached 95 ths. EUR in 2024 and 150 ths. EUR in 2025. Operating costs are broadly the same from year to year, and the differences between years stem mainly from spending on sales promotion, trade terms for the chains and product certification.
The sale includes inventory with a purchase value of approximately EUR 100 thousand, of which about EUR 80 thousand is in stock and the rest in transit. Goods are imported mainly by rail. The buyer will purchase the inventory separately at purchase prices based on the stock level on the handover date.
The owners are selling the brand because they lack the capital, staff capacity and infrastructure to enter further markets, and they also want to focus on other business plans. They want to hand the brand over to someone who can develop it further.
The brand’s greatest asset is its listing with drugstore chains, which takes a new player years and considerable money to build. Other strengths include recognisable packaging design, a broad portfolio with regular new launches and a high margin. Opportunities for a new owner include expansion into further markets, especially the Czech Republic, where the brand is not yet listed, expansion into further chains and stronger marketing support, in which little has been invested so far. In addition, the global face mask category is growing by roughly 5% a year.
The brand is particularly suited to a distributor or manufacturer of cosmetics and drugstore goods with its own sales team and access to chains in the Czech Republic, Slovakia or elsewhere in the EU, who can add it to its portfolio and make use of its listings. It may also be of interest to a financial investor.
